Everyone arrived in Worthing excited and eager to perform well!
We also had our own cheerleaders in the form of Angela, Jayne and Nick's father John Hurley, who primarily went to see what it would involve as neither have ever competed. Some were fighting for the first time ever or and returning to competitions after a long break!
The Judo was of the highest standard and very sharp! There was a good team spirit and everyone said they had enjoyed the experience. It was especially nice to get very positive compliments from other coaches and players from elsewhere about the high standard of our Judo, including the event organisers.
Well done to everyone who went to the competition your judo was amazing and the results brilliant, you are a credit to the Budokwai.
It was an honour to have helped coached you and be there with you on the day. Thank you to Angela, Jayne and John for getting us there and for their support
